Week 2 - (In Progress)


  • Day 1
    • Asked myself, "What's the Twist?" Because "Classic Halo Gameplay wrapped in a Vaporwave Athetotic with Anime Girls is ok. That's not really a "Twist." I'll be trying to figure that out today as well as work on the Main Menu.

      • Main Menu Topic
        • Made a checkerboard texture and found a "moving texture shader" on YouTube here. Script in their Github witch is linked in the Description of that video.
        • Figure it'd be kinda funny to have your character be the statue bust in the main menu. Not sure how that will work out yet but for now. bean.
          • Thinking of going the route of the "Old DVD Main Menu" vibe.
            • Thinking more specifically old "home movie" DVD menus
        • Main Menu is useable now. Able to go from MM to tg_gameplay
    • Every time I look into the player script I have to hold back the urge to rip it apart and start from scratch. Not fond of how that script is + the weapon script.
  • Day 2
    • Think I'll make a console. Idk if today, probably should be focusing back on gameplay instead of getting side tracked
      • 1: Because I'd want people to be able to fuck around with it / take a look at dev levels whenever you all get your hands on it.
        • Always liked the "behind the scenes" of games and figure I'd let it stay so people could take a look at it themselves ya know?
      • 2: I mean, it'd also be easier to take screen shots in game kek.
